Cost effective water mix metalworking soluble fluid for the more arduous metalworking operations. A similar product to Silversol but containing chlorinated extreme pressure additives where better tool life and improved finish is required

DESCRIPTION: Typically high chromium steels and nimonic alloys have utilised neat oils for more arduous machining operations such as drilling or tapping. Although water- based, SILVERSTEP with its blend of surface active and hydrodynamic lubrication additives, provides a true alternative to the use of neat oils

SILVERSTEP provides the cleaner working environment and longer sump life compared to a traditional “milky” type product and exhibits all the benefits associated with a modern bio-stable fluid. These features improve the operator working environment whilst removing the need for “post machining” cleaning operations.

OPERATIONS:

General machining on low to medium tensile ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals, particularly aluminium.

N.B.  The life and performance of any water- mix metalworking fluid is affected greatly by external factors such as water quality, atmospheric contamination and ingress of machine oils etc. Maximum benefit and lowest operating costs are achieved where correct monitoring and control is applied.

Emulsion must be prepared by pouring the soluble oil onto water with agitation to ensure complete dispersion.
